Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
BillKosh is a product of Agnitus Infotech LLP (LLPIN AAI-6706), a limited liability partnership registered in India with its registered office at Ranganiapara, Satsang Bhawan Bye Lane, Opp. Biranchilal Dharamsala, Asansol, West Bengal 713303, and a development office in Salt Lake City, Sector V, Kolkata. For anything in this policy, write to info@agnitus.in.
2. What we collect on this website
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our server records the IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps of each visit. We use these for security and troubleshooting, and they are routinely rotated and deleted.
- What you send us. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to share — typically your name, contact details and your question. We use it to reply and to follow up on your enquiry.
- Purchase details. When you buy a licence or a service, we collect the details needed to deliver it and to issue a GST invoice: name, business name, address, GSTIN where applicable, and payment reference. Payments are processed by the payment provider used for your order (for example Razorpay or your bank); we never see or store card numbers.
3. The demo (demo.billkosh.in)
The demo is a shared installation with sample data, open to all visitors using published credentials. Anything you type into the demo can be seen by other visitors and is deleted when the demo is periodically reset. Please do not enter real personal or business data there.
4. What we deliberately do not collect
BillKosh is self-hosted. The software you buy runs on your own server, and the data you create in it — invoices, customers, suppliers, GST figures, API keys — stays in your own database. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no access to it. We also do not use a catch-all analytics dragnet: we collect no biometric data, no location tracking, and nothing from your device beyond what is described on this page.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
This website uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure which visits came from our pages and ads and whether they led to an enquiry. It involves Meta processing your IP address and an advertising identifier under Meta’s own privacy policy. Beyond that, this website sets no marketing cookies of its own. If we run advertising or add analytics in future, this site may use measurement cookies or pixels from Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics) or Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to understand which visits came from our ads and whether they led to an enquiry. Where such tools are active, they involve those providers processing your IP address and an advertising identifier under their own privacy policies, and this page will be updated to say so. You can limit ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.
6. Who we share data with
- Zoho — our email is hosted on Zoho Mail, so messages you send us are stored there.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — if you contact us on WhatsApp, the conversation is handled under WhatsApp's own terms and encryption.
- Payment providers — to process your payment for an order you place.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we share it beyond the above only if the law requires it.
7. Where data is stored
Our web server is hosted with OVHcloud in the European Union (France). Email is stored with Zoho. By using this site or writing to us you understand that your data may be stored on servers outside India, protected by the safeguards of those providers and this policy.
8. How long we keep it
- Server logs — routinely rotated, typically kept no more than a few weeks.
- Enquiries — kept while we correspond with you and for a reasonable period after, then deleted on request or in periodic clean-ups.
- Purchase and invoice records — kept as long as Indian tax law requires GST records to be maintained, and then disposed of.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, credentials and secrets are stored encrypted or outside the web root, access to the server is key-based, and we apply security updates promptly. No internet system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and proportionate measures expected of a data fiduciary under Indian law.
10. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and raise a grievance about how it has been handled. Write to info@agnitus.in with the subject line “Privacy request” and we will respond within a reasonable time, ordinarily 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Grievance contact
Grievance officer: Binoy Baranwal, Designated Partner, Agnitus Infotech LLP — info@agnitus.in.
12. Children
This website and product are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect — for example when advertising pixels go live — we will update this page and its effective date. Meaningful changes will be visible here before they take effect.
